Following a review of the decision to suspend our weekend service last March, I am happy to confirm that we will be resuming our weekend service from 6th March 2021. This will be on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 10am – 12pm. The same will apply to bank holidays. As is current practice, a duty registrar will contact families on receipt of a correctly completed MCCD and advise them accordingly by telephone. Where we are unable to progress with a registration (or the issue of a green for burial) due to problems with paperwork, the case will be progressed on the next working day in the week.
 
I would like to thank you for your support and patience during what has been a very difficult time for all concerned.  The decline in infection rates and hospital admissions, and the health of our staff returning to near normal means that we can now provide a weekend provision.
