MBCOL believes that this appointment is a significant honour and is a just and appropriate recognition of Suleman's dedication in the way that he has served the many communities of the county.
Mr Yakoob Dassu, Vice Chair of MBCOL said, “This recognition is thoroughly deserved, Suleman’s efforts to improve access to service provision for the community is renowned not only at national but also at a European level. We are all extremely proud of this achievement and, he is in my opinion a credit to this city. It was only last year that MBCOL received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service and this appointment to one of the founding members of this organisation is further testimony of his commitment to the betterment of all”
